At IFA 2026, Mammotion introduced the LUBA 4 AWD, the next model in its LUBA robotic mower range. It has a redesigned all-wheel-drive platform, an optional edge-trimming accessory, and navigation that combines 360° LiDAR, NetRTK and Quad-Camera AI Vision.
What's new in the Mammotion LUBA 4 AWD?
The LUBA 4 AWD is aimed at large, complex gardens. Its positioning system and front-wheel steering let it cut consistently and cope with awkward layouts, and the optional edge-trimming accessory reduces how much you have to finish by hand.
Watch the video below, or visit the LUBA 4 AWD Robot Lawn Mower About Page for a quick overview of the product's features.
Upgrade 1: Tri-Fusion navigation with a 360° view of the garden
The LUBA 4 AWD uses a Tri-Fusion navigation system combining 360° LiDAR, NetRTK and Quad-Camera AI Vision.
- 360° LiDAR scans the garden to map the space and find obstacles.
- NetRTK corrects the mower's position using satellite data, so you do not need a separate RTK base station.
- Quad-Camera AI Vision gives the mower visual information so it can recognise objects in its path.

Upgrade 2: Independent front-wheel steering and bidirectional driving
The LUBA 4 AWD has independent front-wheel steering and can drive in both directions.
Independent steering lets the front wheels turn the mower more sharply. Because it can also drive in both directions, it turns around less often at the end of a pass. That helps in tighter parts of the garden.

Upgrade 3: Precision edge trimming for a cleaner finish
An optional edge-trimming accessory is available on compatible models. It reaches the areas you would otherwise have to cut by hand.
The accessory cuts close to lawn edges, where the main cutting system may miss a narrow strip. It works with the LUBA 4 AWD 3000F and 6000F, but not the 12000F.

Upgrade 4: Built for large and complex lawns
The LUBA 4 AWD range is for larger gardens with varied terrain, several mowing areas and steep slopes. There are three models with different lawn-area capacities and cutting setups.
All three share the same navigation system and all-wheel drive. The 3000F and 6000F have a 440 mm cutting width and two cutting discs; the 12000F is wider at 530 mm with three discs. All three are rated for slopes of up to 80% (38.6°).
The models also differ in how many mowing zones they handle:
- LUBA 4 AWD 3000F: up to 30 zones, for lawns of up to 3,000 m².
- LUBA 4 AWD 6000F: up to 50 zones, for lawns of up to 6,000 m².
- LUBA 4 AWD 12000F: up to 100 zones, for lawns of up to 12,000 m².
Which LUBA 4 AWD model is right for your lawn?
All three models use the same 360° LiDAR, NetRTK and Quad-Camera AI Vision navigation with all-wheel drive, and differ in cutting width, battery capacity, zone management and edge-trimming support.
Your lawn's total area is the starting point, but its layout, terrain and how much finishing you want to hand over also matter.

How to choose the right LUBA 4 AWD model
1. Choose according to your lawn size
- LUBA 4 AWD 3000F: Suitable for lawns up to 3,000 m². It handles up to 30 mowing zones.
- LUBA 4 AWD 6000F: Suitable for lawns up to 6,000 m². A 15.3 Ah battery and up to 50 mowing zones provide greater capacity to meet intensive mowing needs.
- LUBA 4 AWD 12000F: Suitable for lawns up to 12,000 m². A 530 mm cutting width, three cutting discs, and up to 100 mowing zones make it ideal for very large lawns with many sections.
2. Consider your lawn's terrain
All three have all-wheel drive and are rated for slopes of up to 80% (38.6°), so they suit gardens with steep or uneven ground, as long as conditions stay inside the mower's operating limits.
In gardens with trees, obstacles, narrow passages or separate sections, the LiDAR, NetRTK and camera system helps with navigation and obstacle detection. Which model suits you still depends on how much ground there is and how complex the zones are.
3. Decide whether edge trimming is a priority
If cutting down on manual trimming along the boundaries matters to you, consider the 3000F or 6000F, which take the optional edge-trimming accessory. The 12000F does not, so factor that in if automated edge finishing is a priority.
4. Match the cutting system to the workload
The 3000F and 6000F share a 440 mm cutting width and two discs. The 12000F has a wider 530 mm system with three discs, which suits very large lawns. The 6000F and 12000F also carry bigger 15.3 Ah batteries, against 12.75 Ah on the 3000F.
When will the LUBA 4 AWD be available in Europe?
According to Mammotion's current launch information, the LUBA 4 AWD opens for pre-orders in Q4 2026, between October and December. The exact date, final pricing and delivery schedule are not yet confirmed, and availability may vary by country and model.
Start with the Mammotion Europe website for announcements, pre-order updates and purchasing information, and to follow news on the 3000F, 6000F and 12000F. Check the official Mammotion store for your country, since pricing, availability and delivery arrangements differ between European markets.
The pre-order window does not guarantee immediate delivery. The retail launch and shipping dates still depend on official confirmation and stock at the relevant warehouse.
Frequently asked questions
1. Does the LUBA 4 AWD require boundary wires or an RTK antenna?
No. The LUBA 4 AWD navigates with 360° LiDAR, NetRTK and Quad-Camera AI Vision, so there is no boundary wire to lay. NetRTK supplies the positioning corrections, so you do not need to install a separate RTK base station.
2. What is the maximum slope the LUBA 4 AWD can handle?
Slopes of up to 80% (38.6°). Actual performance depends on ground conditions, grass, traction and the shape of the slope.
3. Does every LUBA 4 AWD model support edge trimming?
No. The optional edge-trimming accessory works with the 3000F and 6000F, but not the 12000F. Check compatibility before you choose if automated edge finishing matters to you.
4. When will the LUBA 4 AWD be available in Europe?
Mammotion says pre-orders open in Q4 2026 (October to December). The exact European date, retail launch and delivery schedule are not confirmed yet. Check the official Mammotion Europe website for updates.
5. What is the Mammotion LUBA 4 AWD price?
The European price has not been confirmed. It may vary by model and country. Check the official Mammotion Europe website when pre-orders open.
